Talk PANTS Letter
Dear Parents/Carers
As part of our work on helping children to keep safe, we are going to introduce children to the NSPCC’s ‘Talk PANTS’ rules after February half-term.
This campaign supports simple conversations with children to keep them safe from abuse. I understand that this is a sensitive area, but introducing simple messages at this age is beneficial as research undertaken by the NSPCC has shown that messages are most valuable when taught at a young age.
The 5 key messages are:
- Privates are private
- Always remember your body belongs to you
- No means no
- Talk about secrets that upset you
- Speak up, someone can help
I attach a booklet with more details and to help you have conversations with your child about keeping safe which will support the work we are doing in Nursery. Click Here for the booklet
You can find out more about the campaign at nspcc.org.uk/pants. If you would like to discuss this further, please do not hesitate to come and see me.
Yours sincerely
Mrs C Mortimer,
Headteacher
